A LOVELY NEIGHBORHOOD TO CALL HOME

We love sharing information about one of our favorite neighborhoods, Forest Lakes. Actually, many of you will know that there are really two Forest Lakes...north and south...they surround the Hollymead area and include Hollymead elementary and Sutherland middle schools (Some students from Forest Lakes North go to the new Baker Butler elementary school, just down the road). Forest Lakes is on Rt. 29 just 10 minutes from Charlottesville and only one mile from the Charlottesville airport.

Yes, as the name implies...there are lakes, 6 of them to be exact. All are easily accessed from the miles of walking trails inside the community, and you'll probably meet your neighbors there. In fact, if you made up your mind not to leave the community, you could still access groceries, restaurants, car wash, banks, pharmacies, boutiques, fitness centers, shopping centers...and Martha Jefferson hospital has a facility just across the street. Did we mention basketball (a personal favorite, mustn't leave that out) Okay, so far we've resisted the urge to use the word "location". But we must. Why not boast about a perfect location? (If you commute to D.C., it's even better, you've got a head start).

As you might suspect, this community is wonderful for all ages and interests. Retirees, singles, young families, newlyweds, military personel, grad students, and one ornery old cuss....all happily coexist here. Forest Lakes has seen a great increase in home values in recent years and it remains a terrific area for resale investment. Here's a link to

You can get your nails done, get your hair done, get your teeth drilled. (ouch, maybe not). You get the idea. When we say location, we really mean it. (At first chance we're going to give you links to those businesses). Yet the atmosphere inside Forest Lakes is anything but bustling. There are only 3 roads leading in to the community...tree lined and sedate...and the streets are quiet and peaceful.
The homes here are varied....from townhomes, duplex homes, and single family homes.....big and small, garages or not, basements or not, trees or not, various ages and prices. Above is a link here where we'll take you to some of the current offerings for sale in Forest Lakes....if you'd like to receive personalized search results, just send us an email and we'll reply with a customized text link where you can access up-to-the-minute real estate listings of Forest Lakes properties. Needless to say, we'd love to show you the Forest Lakes community...just ask and we'll preview some homes with you.
