We have several fitness centers (upgrades to Gold's Gym)...the new downtown facilities have a rooftop pool in addition to their other outstanding equipment: Atlantic Coast Athletic Club.... fitness center.
The Foxfield point-to-point races in a gorgeous setting...tailgating with linens and crystal: Foxfield Horse Races

If you're a tennis person, the Boar's Head is the place to be. We have an international tournament here on the indoor/outdoor courts and UVa's team is nationally ranked. The Boar's Head Sports membership is actually pretty reasonably priced, open to the public, and there's the public course at Birdwood Golf course: Boar's Head Resort and Sport Club
